Terms.
The rules of the road for using this site, reading our guides and running our free plugins. Short version: everything is free, everything is honest, and everything is at your own risk.
Section 1
Acceptance of terms
Welcome to AI Prompt Theory (https://aiprompttheory.com). By accessing or using this website, downloading our plugins, or following our guides, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use this site or its downloads.
Section 2
Using the website
You agree to use AI Prompt Theory for lawful purposes only, and not in any way that could damage, disable or impair our services or interfere with anyone else's use of the site. You also agree not to: copy, distribute or exploit site content without prior written permission (except as expressly granted in Section 6); use automated systems or bots to scrape the website; or upload or transmit malicious software or harmful content. Our spam-protection systems may block submissions and addresses that abuse our forms.
Section 3
Intellectual property
All content on this website — articles, logos, branding, images and other media — is the property of AI Prompt Theory or its content creators and is protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws, except where expressly stated otherwise (see Section 6 regarding our open-source plugins, which are deliberately and happily licensed for your reuse). Unauthorised use of protected content may result in legal action.
Section 4
Content accuracy & disclaimer
We strive to provide accurate, up-to-date information about artificial intelligence, prompt engineering and related topics. However, all content is provided for informational and educational purposes only and should not be construed as professional advice of any kind. AI Prompt Theory makes no warranties or representations about the accuracy, completeness or reliability of any content. Use the information at your own risk.
Section 5
Third-party links
Our site may contain links to third-party websites, tools or services. These links are provided for convenience and do not signify our endorsement. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
Section 6
Free plugins, downloads & build guides
AI Prompt Theory offers free WordPress plugins — including AIPromptTheory Shield, Engine, Radar and Insight (together, "the Plugins") — and the educational build guides that accompany them.
- "As is", no warranty. The Plugins, guides and all related code are provided free of charge, "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement. You install and use them entirely at your own risk. Test on a staging site and take a full backup before installing anything on a production website.
- No obligation of support or updates. We are under no obligation to provide maintenance, updates, security patches, add-ons or support, and we may modify or withdraw the Plugins at any time. Add-on requests submitted through this site are expressions of interest only and create no obligation for us to build or deliver anything on any timeline.
- Open-source licence. The Plugins are licensed under the GNU General Public License v2 or later. You are free to use, study, modify, rebrand and redistribute the code under the terms of that licence — our build guides exist to help you do exactly that.
- Trademarks. The GPL applies to the code, not the brand. "AI Prompt Theory", "AIPromptTheory", the suite plugin names and associated logos remain our property. If you redistribute modified versions, do so under your own branding and do not imply that we endorse or maintain your version.
- Third-party services. Some Plugins can connect to third-party services — for example, AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, xAI or DeepSeek via AIPromptTheory Engine. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and pricing. You are solely responsible for your API keys, any fees you incur, and the content you generate. Review AI-generated content before publishing — you are responsible for what you publish.
- Educational content. The build guides describe how we built our software, including the mistakes we made along the way. They are educational material, not professional advice, and following them does not guarantee any particular outcome.
Section 7
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Prompt Theory and its affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of this website, its content, or the Plugins — including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of revenue, website downtime, security incidents, or costs incurred with third-party services as a result of downloading, installing, configuring or using the Plugins or following the build guides.
Section 8
Modifications & termination
We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time; changes are effective immediately upon posting, and the "Last updated" date above will reflect them. It is your responsibility to review this page periodically. We also reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the site at our sole discretion, without notice, if we believe these Terms have been violated.
Section 9
Governing law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
