Despite these advancements, FSD still requires active driver supervision and can be prone to errors, particularly in complex or unpredictable driving scenarios.

Neural Networks: The Brains Behind the Operation

Tesla’s AI-powered autonomy relies heavily on deep learning neural networks. These networks are trained on vast amounts of data collected from Tesla’s fleet of vehicles driving millions of miles every day. The data includes camera images, radar data, ultrasonic sensor readings, and GPS information.
